The 2023 International Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning [ICSUMP] will be held in Alexandria, Abouqir, Egypt. The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at AASTMT, Abu Qir Campus is honored to host the first International Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning [ICSUMP], which will be held between the 25^th and 26^th of October.

The conference is held in partnership with prominent European Universities, as part of the Erasmus+ Project UPGRADE. The conference program will consist of invited sessions on selected topics and contributed sessions. The submitted papers must describe original work and cover the activities of the UPGRADE project.

National Technical University of Athens

The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is the oldest and most prestigious educational institution of Greece in the field of technology (founded in 1836). It is divided into 9 academic Schools, with more than 700 people as academic staff, 140 scientific assistants and 260 administrative and technical staff. The total number of students is about 8500 graduates and 1500 postgraduate. NTUA participates in numerous national and international projects, trains a large number of PhD and Post-Doc students and produces high number of publications. Università politecnica di Valencia

The Polytechnic University of Valencia is a Spanish university, with a focus on science and technology. It was founded in 1968 as the Higher Polytechnic School of Valencia and became a university in 1971. Some of its schools are more than 100 years old. The Transport Department is in charge of teaching courses related to the design, construction and maintenance of ports, highways, and railways, and transport and logistics planning and mobility studies. Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport

The Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport was established in 1972 and due to its consistent development and application of innovative technology, the AASTMT campuses in the Egyptian cities of Alexandria, Cairo, Port Said and Aswan have had many achievements in education, training, consultation and research within the fields of maritime transport, engineering, and management sciences for more than 40 years now. Currently, 25,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, and 1000 researchers work and study on the various campuses of the academy, located all over Egypt. The Arab Academy for science and technology and maritime transport has a very strong architectural department with the branch of urban design underneath its Umbrella. The Urban Design field is well emphasized in both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses, from the social behavioural sciences perspective. Many thesis are discussed addressing Urban and transportation problems. As the AASTMT plays a pragmatic role in the development of the society and the surrounding Urban context. Housing and Building National Research Center

The Housing and Building National Research Center (HBRC) is an independent government research center affiliated to the Ministry of Housing, Utilities. It performs a leading role in enhancing the performance of strategic studies for urban development, and provides evaluation services including technical consultations, field inspection, quality control, and laboratory testing and offers training programs. HBRC plays also an important role in enhancing the performance of the building sector through scientific research, code development, and enforcement.
